The Sourdet-Diot Champagne House is situated at La Chapelle
Monthodon, between Epernay and Château Thierry, in the heart of the prestigious Marne Valley.
planted the first vines in the 60s and sold his harvest to the large Champagne Houses. Gradually the family vineyard
expanded and today it comprises 8 hectares of vines on southeast facing slopes, providing ideal grape-growing conditions.
In 1980, Patrick and Nadine Sourdet decided to make their own Champagne from their own grapes and installed
a traditional press and cellars. Initially 50% of the grapes were sold to the large Champagne Houses and the remaining
half was kept for Champagne making. Since 1990 all of the grapes have been kept to produce Sourdet-Diot
Champagne. The cellars have been extended and a wine tasting cellar has been created.
In 2003 Ludivine,
Patrick and Nadine's daughter, and Damien, Ludivine's husband, joined the family vineyard. Ludivine
deals with the office work and Damien helps Patrick in the vineyard.
